VideoNote was created in 2008 by two Cornell University graduate students in the College of Engineering.  Ryan Morris, M.Eng OR&IE '08 and Paul George, Ph.D. ECE '09 developed the first functional version of VideoNote for fall semester 2008 at Cornell to test the functionality with real students and courses.  It was a huge success and the indexed-notes, from where videonote gets its name, set it apart from other previous attempts to record lectures at Cornell.

VideoNote's Mission is to leverage digital technology and teaching research to enable skilled educators to teach: more people, more effectively, in less time, at lower cost.

Platform

VideoNote's fast, global network enables you to deliver high quality, streaming video to students, clients, employees, or the whole world. We give you the tools to make sure that your content is effectively shared exactly how you want it to be.

Advanced Features

See which of your videos are getting the most attention. Get a detailed view of your users' watching habits. Easily embed “VideoNotes” in your videos and index within, not just across them. It's like upgrading from a box of VHS tapes to a fully searchable digital library.

Education & Training

VideoNote was built from the ground up to be optimized for education and training environments. Case in point: check out this recent study at Cornell University, which found that student VideoNote usage during a semester improved grades by 9.5%.
